Our shop opened at 28a Newerne Street, Lydney in 2001 and is staffed by a wonderful band of some 25 volunteers led by our experienced manageress. Without the time and effort so generously donated by our volunteers, we could not exist!

The shop generates a significant income which helps to defray the considerable expenses involved in helping Forest cats.

Our main expenses are, inevitably, incurred for veterinary care not only for the cats in our care but also in assisting members of the public who are unable to fund their own bills.

Additionally we have to pay for quantities of tinned cat food and biscuits, cat litter and for transporting cats to and from the vets. Due to a generous legacy, we were able to purchase our own van in 2007 which you may see out and about.

We also run regular neutering campaigns to enable those less well off to have their cats neutered free of charge.

New volunteers and customers are always welcome, especially those bringing us good quality items to sell!
