| Cats are never handed out on demand. We
carry out visits to the homes of everyone who wants to adopt one of our cats.
This is to ensure that: a) new owners have full information about how to
care for their new cat. This includes information about feeding, routine parasite
treatments (fleas and worms!), provision of appropriate veterinary care and provision
of care for the cat in the event of the owner's absence from home. b) people
and cats are well suited and compatible with one another in temperament and behaviour. c)
the home is situated in a reasonably safe location and that any potential hazards
are identified. d) new owners are fully aware of the possible expenses entailed
in taking on the responsibility of a cat. Every effort is made to match
new owner and cat but, should you fail to bond with your cat or you feel that
he is not content with you, we will be happy to take him back and try to find
you a more suitable one.
All cats in our care are tested to make sure they are not
positive for FIV or FeLV, they are vaccinated, neutered and
microchipped. This costs us around £150 per cat/kitten
and, if you adopt one of them, we ask for an adoption fee
of £50 as a contribution towards what we have done to
ensure that your cat is happy and healthy.
INTERESTED? If
you would like to home one of our cats, please phone us or e-mail us. We will
need your name, address and telephone number and a brief description of the sort
of cat you are looking for. Any information you can provide about your home
and family will assist us in finding the right cat for you!. |
