Socks was adopted by a family when she turned up as a stray begging for food but they hadn't allowed for the four additional kittens that appeared soon after. No wonder she was hungry! Her kittens are now weaned and Socks is looking for a home without them. She is tired of having her tail pulled. She promises not to bring any extras this time.

HOMED

You'll need to be quick to book this lovely lad as his fosterer has fallen in love with him. Only a youngster, Scooter has had a badly injured paw but it is healing beautifully and he is keen to have a home of his own so he can be getting up to mischief again. A friendly, playful boy.

A lovely couple, Polo and Noodles came from Devauden. They are both youngsters but are not related to each other. Initially they are a little timid but a lot has happened to them in a short space of time so this is understandable. Once they have recovered their confidence they are good companions. Polo is a stay-at-home chap while Noodles likes to explore the great outdoors.

These defiant little faces belong to the Monmouth Mafia, a quintet of feral or semi-feral kittens. The one with the spot on her nose will be seeking employment on a smallholding or farm where she will be an Exterminator Extraordinaire. She and her sister can't wait to get started. The 3 boys are now friendly, playful chaps who would like quiet homes where they won't be frightened by loud noises and can be introduced to household routines gently.

Betsy weighed only 1.8kg when she was found and was practically bald. We have had a long haul to get her to being the healthy bundle of fun she is now. To our surprise, she is growing a beautiful long coat but as it lies flat she won't need much grooming. A wriggly lady, she hasn't really got time for cuddles - she prefers to play but she is very affectionate.

BOOKED

This pretty lady is bringing up her young family at the moment but she will soon be looking for a home to get away from the youngsters who are now up on their paws and playing with her tail! She is looking for a bit of peace and quiet to recover from the onerous job of kitten rearing. So far, she has three different names, Mrs Minver, Tigerlily and Lizzie. We'll let you choose or pick your own name for her!

Buster's owner moved too close to her old home and Buster kept walking back to his old home where no-one was prepared to feed or care for him. He should really have been called "Clinger" as he is an extremely affectionate, people orientated cat who would love to be involved in all the activities of a happy family whether it's painting the walls or watching TV. He'll be there. He has a distinct dislike of his own kind so is looking for a home where he doesn't have to share his human companions with other cats.

Piewackit is a very well preserved senior puss who lost her comfortable home when her owner was taken into care. She has a full veterinary history and has been so well cared for throughout her life that we would never have guessed that she was more than 8 or 9 years old. We are sure she has many more playful years in her yet.

Tigger is a very handsome boy with a lovely shiny coat. A sweet-natured and playful youngster, he would be ideal in a family situation. We are not sure whether he has ever experienced the great outdoors as he came for a top floor flat so we are looking for a quiet, safe location for him to explore the big wide world. Another cracking cat! Perfect for a young family.

Sam has packed his bag, polished his whiskers and is ready and waiting in his carrying cage for that special person to whisk him off to a loving new home. A big bear of a cat, Sam was found as a stray in Monmouth. His finder longed to integrate him with her own cat family as he is so gorgeous but Sam did not get on with the existing residents. He would be better as an only cat.

The cat on the left has sadly been identified as FIV+. Henry is fighting fit although, sometime in the past, he has mislaid the tip of his tail.

He is a gorgeous, affectionate cat but will now need to be kept as an indoor cat away from all other cats so that he cannot spread this condition.

FIV is spread through bodily fluids and in Henry's case the main fear is exchanging blood through fighting. He is a placid chap but if a more aggressive cat picked a fight, he could go home with more than he bargained for.

It is very hard to contain a cat, especially in this weather when doors and windows are open but, if you live in an upstairs flat or miles from anywhere, please consider giving Henry a home. He will amply repay you with love and companionship.

Suki is not yet in our care but her owner is anxious to find her a new home as she (the owner) has developed breathing problems. Not for anyone with respiratory challenges, Suki is a mature puss who enjoys both indoor and outdoor life. She is familiar with dogs and is said to be a good hunter.

If you can offer Suki a home, we will get her in and carry out our usual health checks. Or you can liaise with the owner direct.
